Wow!! I can still remember my first day in this school, that day was awesome, my mom, dad, lil bros, myself and annoying dweeb of a friend 'kevin' were all in the car, while dad drove, mehn, I wished I was the one that drove that day.
As he drove pass the beautiful Gates of Funaab, which I've seen only once when I came to do my pre-degree exams last year August. That day was Crazy and funny... Funaab has two campus [main and mini campus], funny enough we never knew about that, we were supposed to be in the mini campus, which is like an hour drive away from the main, instead we landed in the main campus. My exam was scheduled for 11am in the morning, my dad had been here once and tadah!!! This man has forgotten the way to the school!!! Can you imagine??? Thank God Abeokuta is one of the best places to be in Nigeria, with good people and nice security personnel. We would have been part of the episode 5 of LOST!! *that crazy seasonal movie*...
Google map app on my phone was working well till my battery died that was when my hatred for blackberry grew stronger and it was just 9:45am, by this time I knew I was in Hell, because Funaab Alabata is far from where I was in Okeilowo, the distance can make you sleep 5 times and yet still find out that you haven't reached half the journey. Well thank God for the Security personnel and the good citizens of Abeokuta, we got to Funaab's gate by 10:59am just a minute early..... Imagine? that was my first time seeing those gates. Hahahaha not so nice experience I went through, that exam was cool, I got into the pre degree center by 12:00noon simply because we went to the wrong venue, Luckily for us, my set was just entering the hall, so before you could say JACK!!! I was already inside and ready to write. Something funny happened, I checked my pocket and found out that my Casio Plus Calculator wasn't there and that was how I passed the pre-degree exam without using a Calculator!!!
Back to my first day, me and my guy were thinking about our Courses... Iam a Physics student and he is a Mechatronics Engineering Student, then while we were done thinking,and as we entered the hostel my dweebish besto and I booked for a temporary stay in the hostel cause we did not want to bother our crazy friend Jegz 'Olumide, a mechanical engineering student'...... And we.... 'Me and Kevin' ended up staying in Block A, the not so crazy and unkept blocks in the school, we all hated that block, we were happy we weren't given Block B, that one eh?? Is mad!!! Its a total disaster.... So I heard? I did not say so ooh!! Abeg!!! Meanwhile I have been looking our for either Block C or Block D, these blocks are better, Block D is the best actually.... We got into the hostel, got a room in block A and later found out that we had funny temporary stay roomies---- tunde, waris, Josh and emmanuel.. Cool guys, I miss them... Though I still see tunde and Josh well... Our parents and theirs gave us a little sermon and then prayed for us and while they were done, they left!!! Seriously I wanted to cry, cause I'll miss my mom lots 'a disciplinarian'!!! And my crazy brothers 'ose and ehi' hahahahaha!! But I won't miss my dad so much... *no reason* !!!
Later that night, we had a lil gist and laughed at each other...and later on spoke about our courses and shared ideas on them and how we will proceed on the journey on the first day of Funaab!!! 1st Dec. 2014!!...
We woke up very early and we had to be fast with what ever we wanted to do, because we never wanted to do anything that will delay us and if we did, we can still be able to make up for it!!! And puff!!!! That was how our journey began in the life of FUNAAB!!!
